After over four years of development, the Switchback Sandal is the result of a simple yet revolutionary concept: create a durable, adjustable sandal made from a single piece of webbing with just one buckle. Through dozens of prototypes and testing, we’ve crafted a sandal that combines minimalism, comfort, and versatility - ready for any adventure, whether it's hiking, bike-packing, or world travel.

The key innovation behind this design is the Switchback Slydr™, a custom-designed webbing guide that allows the strap to slide and adjust the tightness in the heel and instep for a custom fit that moves with your foot. This dynamic, slip-free design ensures a secure yet flexible fit, eliminating the need for multiple straps while maximizing comfort. The contoured Barefoot Footbed™ is crafted with a texture that mimics the natural shape of the foot. The anatomical contours wrap around the bottom of the foot to enhance sensory feedback and keep your feet responsive to the terrain beneath you.

The sandal features a full rubber outsole for durability and traction on diverse surfaces, paired with an EVA midsole that provides lightweight cushioning for all-day comfort. With a minimal drop platform for natural alignment, the Switchback Sandal is engineered for both performance and comfort, making it the perfect companion for rugged trails, beach days, or urban exploration. Ready for anything, this sandal is designed to go wherever your adventures take you.

We find that the Switchback Sandal fits true to size, so you can order your normal US size. However, this style is only offered in whole sizes, if you are in-between sizes we recommend sizing up. This is a unisex sandal, so the width is the same for both men's and women's.
